Shivapuri Hiking

Shivapuri Village is a destination village resort in Nepal which is 25 km from the capital; Kathmandu. Even though villages found in Nepal. Shivapuri Village is maintained in a true spirit of Nepalese village experiencebeing so close; yet it provides a visitor a glimpse of the remoteness and the grandeur of the and hospitality and lies in the buffer zone of the Shivapuri National Park, which is one of the few National Parks situated in any capital around the globe.

Shivapuri Village offers various activities to keep oneself busy during the stay be it in the form of Nature Treks and Hikes, Ethnic Village Tours, Bird Watching, Photography or just a simple relaxing leisure.  At the moment we have 3 exclusive huts with a total of 3 rooms and 2 Nepalese huts with a total of 5 rooms adding up to a total of 8 exclusive rooms. We have kept the accommodation as genuine as possible to provide quality services.

Since Shivapuri Village is located beyond the Shivapuri National Park and as one has to cross the Park entrance before arriving at Shivapuri Village, it is often advised to stay overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Langtang Gosainkunda Trek

Straight north from Kathmandu is the Langtang- Helambu region which enjoys snow-covered peaks, a mild climate, and friendly hospitable inhabitants which makes it the ideal trek almost year round. The 1,710 SQ km Langtang National Park hosts a variety of natural splendours, from lush valleys alive with langur monkeys to the towering fir and rhododendron forests bursting with spring colour. The 7,246 meter Langtang Lirung to the north, Gang Chhenpo (6,388 meters) to the south and Dorje Lhakpa (6,975 meters) to the east dominates the beautiful Langtang valley.

Helambu, the mid-elevation region to the Park’s south, is a study centre of Tibetan Buddhism. Lama and Tamang people maintain a rich cultural heritage, evident in ornately carved wooden windows, lively dance festivals, and skilled weaving traditions. Trekkers can enjoy these sights on any of the three main trekking routes. Hiking times and overnight stops are planned for a moderate hiking pace, and proper acclimatization to altitude. Treks range in difficulty from moderate to challenging. All trail heads are accessible by bus or private transports from Kathmandu.

Annapurna Circuit Trek

Annapurna circuit trek is one of the classics, most diverse and stunning tea house trek in the Himalaya. We witness the fascinating ethnic groups having their own language and tradition. The incredible views of some of the most stunning 8000 meter peaks including the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges – simply wonderful. We explore the natural diversity from lush, tropical rice paddies and moss-laden rhododendron forests to Tibetan fortresses clinging to rocky cliffs. Walking through the naturally rich terrain of diverse topography trekker has a chance to experience the rich cultural diversity of Hinduism, Buddhism. The mysterious Bon-Po religion still co-exist and intermingle with other at same place.

Annapurna circuit with Thorung la pass

We have specially designed this Annapurna circuit trekking itinerary making it shorter. It avoids the walk on recently build road as long as possible. We start the trek from Bulbule after a drive from Kathmandu. We finish our walk at Jomsom from where we take flight to Pokhara. This trekking route keeps all the main highlights of classic around Annapurna trek intact. The hiking route includes the Great Himalayan trail from Dharapani to Kagbeni, the Tibetan Buddhist dominated settlements.

We explore the Braga monastery, the oldest in the region at Manang.  The shine of Muktinath, a famous pilgrimage site being worshiped by both Hindu and Buddhist devotees together at Muktinath – another attraction. No doubt climbing over the challenging pass of Thorung la at 5416 meter is tough but rewarding to the great sense of achievement. The view from the pass is truly spectacular. It spreads from the northwest wind eroded “Once Forbidden Kingdom” of Mustang valley to incredible mountain ranges of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri to the southwest. The pass was initially used as a trade route, herding agricultural products on yaks and donkeys. People of Mustang identify themselves closer with Tibet and the Mustang region has actually been part of Tibet in past. We also do explore the peaceful lake city of Pokhara in our way back to Kathmandu to end the exhilarating trip to Annapurna circuit trekking.

Rara Trek

A journey to Rara lake is one of the most incredible and fascinating treks in all the Himalayan range lie northwest of Kathmandu in the remote area of Karnali. If you are looking of wilderness and solitude travel, this trek is an ideal choice. The route is very much ‘off the beaten track’ and affords glimpses of cultures and scenery very different from the rest of Nepal. The clear, high altitude lake of Rara, which mirrors the snow capped Himalayas is ringed with blue pine, black juniper forest and Himalayan cypress Lake Rara is a popular serenity pilgrimage for Nepalese.

In summer rainfall is low, and ideal for trekking. In the winter there is often snow on the ridge surrounding the lake, in the autumn season trekkers are rewarded with a profusion of alpine flowers. Rara Lake is five kilometers long and two kilometers wide and is the largest lake in Nepal. The national Park is one of the best places in Nepal to see wildlife: musk deer, leopards, ghorals, tahr, Himalayan black beer, and the rare red panda are all native. The park is also a bird watcher’s delight, especially during November and April when many species of birds visit during their seasonal migration.

Nagarkot Hiking

Nagarkot, located 32 kilometers east of Kathmandu, is one of the most scenic spots in Bhaktapur district and is renowned for its spectacular sunrise view of the Himalaya when the weather is clear. Visitors often travel to Nagarkot from Kathmandu to spend the night so that they can be there for the breathtaking sunrise. Nagarkot has become famous as one of the best spots to view Mount Everest as well as other snow-topped peaks of the Himalayan range of eastern Nepal.

It also offers an excellent view of the Indrawati river valley to the east. With an elevation of 2,195 meters, Nagarkot also offers a panoramic view of the Valley and is described by visitors as a place whose beauty endures year round.

Many visitors prefer to visit Nagarkot in the spring when surrounding valleys break out in a rich kaleidoscope of different coloured flowers. The flowers are beautiful against the serene backdrop of the snow-covered mountains. Ever popular among the tourists are the short treks and picnics which Nagarkot offers. Treks from Nagarkot are unique and delightful. For anyone who wants to have an adventure without exerting much efforts, a hike to Nagarkot’s surrounding areas would be a good option.
